Soak both carbs!
Your belt is loose it is not riding out of secondary, check your Center to center (12 1/4")

Thanks, I don’t have a tool to check that. Seems like a specialty tool from what I’ve seen. I’m somewhat green to taking the clutches off
It’s a new oem belt. The old belt was worn really funny the dealer said when I got the new one. I believe it’s sits to far down in the secondary. It also squek a little when I pull it over.
Is there any way to get that belt tighter.
I believe it involves adding or removing shims/ washers. The springs are old but I assume they are good enuf to make it up a hill. and yes I know I should of soaked other carb

Tape measure!
Also I use a carpenters square
If anything you will want the clutch side to be just forward of square to secondary
This way under load it Will be square
