ok since everyone is on the forum because of the no-snow
problem we have in the midwest id ask a question.

i have a 95 formulla III tripple tripple 600 that i picked up cheap.
after riding for 20min it starts to get hot, im riding in 6in of powder.
my son takes it around yard & sometines can ride for hours, or 20 min.
not sure where to start. replaced t-stat & blead air. heat exchangers are warm when not getting hot & iced up while getting hot. so im thinking water pump?? but engine must come out for that repair.
carbs were cleaned beginning of season. runs awsome all the time except that it gets hot sometimes. has never been overheated just hot.

any other ideas?? really dont wana pull a tripple.:D

I think I would start with the thermostat because its an intermittent problem, and a quick fix for little money.

The water pump is driven by a plastic gear there could be teeth missing. You don't have to remove the engine to check it....but almost,it's behind the stator/recoil cover.
