Has anyone adjusted a throttle position sensor on an f5?
Don't know about the F5, but I know on the F6 and F7 if you adjust the TPS without knowing EXACTLY what you are doing, you are just asking to melt some pistons...

I had the carbs off it to sinc them and just go over them. I was wondering if any performance increase could be found by adjusting it. Does it control timing or what?

pin gauge, p/n 0644-345
tps adj tool, p/n 0644-299

1. take the carbs off.

2.loosen the idle screw untill it does not touch the throttle lever.

3.open the throttle and insert the pin gauge into the engine side of the carb. pin must be on the tps-side carb. let the slide down to hole the pin gauge in the carb.

4.connect the tps adj tool to the tps, connect a DVOM to the adj tool.

5. compare readings at idle and at wot.

500cc
idle - wot
1.7V- 3.8 and above

6. if these are not the readings replace.

7.apply dielectric grease before re essmble.
