so my boss just bought his first sled (1970sumthin yamaha exciter 440) hes in love with the vintage series, but he was wondering if there was any way to fit a track off of a 89 yamaha exciter. my friend is plannin on swappin in a 136 on his 89 so we'd have all the suspension and the track from that. anyone know if its possible? or any suggestions

the late 80's exiters used a 121" track. can be adapted by either adding rail extensions or relocating the mounting positions of the 70's stock skid.

unless your fabrication and supension tuning skills are keen, adding the newer skid to the older sled may be out of your comfort zone, but it can be done, and makes for a pleasant ride.
