People on Facebook exciter group are telling me that this is supposed to be like that, is it true? Can somebody send me a picture of their chaincase?

Idk seems normal to me from what I remember about Yamaha Chaincases from the '80s when we had Yamaha. Polaris doesn't have that gap iirc but each maker does things their own way.

Well people keep telling me it’s supposed to be like that, and I’ve just watched a video (Phazer 2 track change) where there is the same gap there and the guy does not mention anything.

Of course never any play but I remember that the ss 440 we had was like that from factory which we thought was odd even back then. I also remember seeing dad's friends Phazer he bought the 2nd year???? those came out and when they changed oil and adjusted the chain it was like that and I was just a kid back then and thought it was odd so did dad.
