About to buy one of the folling engines any input would be helpful. would like to know if anyone has any experience with any of them.

1972 Ski-doo olympic 399

1987 Ski doo 521

433cc yamaha

440 ccw

My next question is going to have to be what are they going into and what "ccw" stands for. It looks like counter clockwise rotation to me, but it could also be a brand name.

The 1987 521 engine was one very strong powerful engine. In 1989 Ski-doo had to detune it. I would go with this engine. The CCW stands for Canadian Curtis Wright. They are a defunk engine builder that was around in the 70's. Some of the old John Deere snowmobiles had CCW engines. They were good for there time but are impossible to get parts for. The 521 block was used from 1983 - 1992
