Hey guys, I use an electric shield on my helmet and am sick of the cord in the way. Everytime I get off or fall off I always forget to unplug the cord. Is there a way to make one that is portable that would fit in my pocket. Just wonder what volts or amps would be needed to make this work. Any ideas would be great!

I think that some have portable 9v battery packs that snap into packets on your helmet.

My helmet chatter box has one, but I don't think it would last long. Have you ran the cord down threw your jacket?

Yes, I have put the cord through my coat, but always forget to unplug it. Plus it fogs up when disconnected. Would like to always to have power to the shield. How much power would I need to make it portable.

They run off 12VDC, but draw a lot of power for the elements. Carry a car battery in your coat!
