Lets just say ... Wow. I have never seen anything like that. That is incredible. Any idea is the guy actually landed that and was able to keep going.... I am thinking another ski-doo at the bottom of a lake, but who knows... did he make it?

Great pic by the way.

If you look closely to the roof tops on the houses and the green grass I'm thinking theres a possibility thats open water they're jumping into. Hopefully they are keeping a full wide open throttle!

If not, OUCH!!!!! Last year in the Marquette area in the UP my friends and I found a logging yard with a bunch of stacked logs. So we found one stack that you could ride up one side of. It looked like it could have been a ramp they built to load and unload flatbed trucks or stake trucks. So we jumped off of it. It was sweet. Not quite as high as the pictures above, but pretty close. At first the landing was all powder so it wasn't so bad. Then one of my friends jumped off, he landed hard and got thrown right off the sled and just layed there for a minute or two. When he landed I think he hit his knee on the hand and thumb warmer switches (2002 MXZ top right of gas tank) because they were all smashed and bent into the plastic. And it looked like He hit his head on the handlebars ( Good thing for helmets). It was funny!!!! Ha Ha Ha!!!!

You guys have never seen a snowmobile movie? They jump into open water all the time. In Alticity 2 they have a good sized segment of just jumping into open water and riding away. It's really cool.

I haven't seen all of Alticity 2, but I'm gonna buy it. What I've seen, is that now a days, whatever sled video you buy, it's gonna be good. I like Slednecks...I have 4 and 5, and have seen 3. But they're all cool.

If you have enough speed (which I'm sure they do in the pics) and keep on the throttle you wouldn't sink, you'd just skip right across. I've got some sweet pictures of me riding my old 93 xlt across water , I just have to find them and scan them in. I was hitting the gas and letting off over and over. I felt like I was riding a wave runner.

Now that sounds fun. I would love to try water skipping some time... anyone want to lend me their sled for a while?

Slednecks 6 is really good but my favorite video of the year is "Quinlan". It has all his jumps and wrecks and shows him making his backflip. It has the footage from Newfoundland and Australia plus the MTV jump over the ski lift.

Slednecks 5 and 6 are sweet. Especially 6, Quinlin is a madman, i could never even fathom attempting a backflip. Those guys nuts must clank together when they walk.
