Does anyone know the quantity of crank case oil that the 1997 xlt 600 limited needs? thanks

that sled is a 2 stroke, you do not fill the crankcase with oil like a car, just keep the bottle under the hood marked "oil" full of 2 stroke oil and your good to go. Strokes run on a mixture of gas and oil, the oil in the mixture keeps everything lubricated.

basic rule of thumb, everytime you put gas it in, fill it with oil.

LOL. I was thinking of saying just put in the same amount that you drain out. Or until it is in the safe zone on the dipstick.
