Anybody has a good spot to suggest for a sled trip planned in Feb. I am looking for cottage to rent that has aleast 3 bedrooms. Taking the better half (wife) and 2 more couples so looking for modern not rustic cottage. First time riding the Upper Peninsula so we are open to location. Any suggestion would be great. Thanks

Munising, Seney, Newberry, Grand Marais Area would be the best riding for you guys if its your first time and want to get the best conditions and riding that the UP has to offer. I don't know any cabins off hand but look for some around Munising because that is the heart of the UP right there and you can ride to so many different places from Munising. My fav place to ride in the UP.

There is a Casino just west of Munising in the very small town of Christmas....

Check out pictured rocks, its an awesome ride to get out there and its not to far away from Munising. Then if you are looking for a bar be sure to check out the doghouse in downtown. A good place to eat off the trail is at Froggy's Bar and Grill in Christmas.

I am also in Michigan and am looking for people and places to ride. If anyone can help me out I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

Gotta stop in the mall in Christmas too!

haha, I know this thread is old, but I had to comment. If you've been there, you know what I mean.

I'm hoping to make a run up to the UP some time this winter and looking for the same info.

I've been riding upper Michigan all my life! We've had a family cabin for about 50 years up there, absolutely beautiful. Private lake and road, plus were literally 5 miles from the main set of trails with hundreds of miles of trails around us. Leave right from our cabin to ride. If you want a beautiful town place and awesome town to see visit Gaylord. Hotels are plentiful and if we meet honest people we've rented our cabin before. One of the best rides of my life has started in Gaylord. Huge snowmobile community aswell.

I'd say Munising also. if you look on a trail map most the trails go there. When you come up let me know.
