My wife and I use the Arctic Cat "Cat Comm" system. It works extremely well but it's spendy. It's voice activated and we're able to have a normal conversation while riding. No interference, no background noise. The Cat Comm system installs on the sled (difficult install) and then you install the headset in the helmet (easy and clean install). Highly recommended if you have an A/C sled.
The Cat Comm system is integrated into the gauge package which is where you adjust channels, etc. I doubt if it would work in a Polaris or any sled other than A/C.
I think lots of folks use the Chatterbox for a 3rd party solution.
