I need help with clutching! I don't know the difference between best performance settings 1-6. My 99 mxz 600 three bolt setting is at #3. I realize the higher setting the higher rpms. If this is the case then why not set them at 6. Probably because of over heating. Heck, I don't know.:confused:

For optimal adjustable you want to dial in your sled at clicker 3. The higher the RPM is not always better hp, depends where you sled make the best hp. You need to dial in your clutch to work with you motor. If you clicker is at 3 and your sled is over-reving you can change it to two and that should decrease the rpm's by about 200 rpm's.
