I have a 1991 Polaris Indy sport 440 and I was out on the lake with a buddy and doing some doughnuts and riding around? and we switched sleds and not even 5 minutes in I hear a loud clunking and go rush over to my sled to see what's going on. I lift the hood and the primary is completely off with the bolt missing and the rubber plug to get to the bolt is gone also. The clutch also was locked fully closed and I could not open it. I got it home now but I don't know what to do. This comes from a long story where the clutch sat for 10+ years and was rusted so I got some sandpaper and cleaned it off and got it working good and worked for 200 plus miles great after. I have heard you can just clean the shaft (I'm assuming that's why it's stuck) or just somehow get a new one for cheep? All of the threads and all were still in tact and I put my clutch from my 1990 340 sport on there for now to get it home and worked good. I don't know how it came off because at the start of the season I cleaned that clutch and was working perfectly for 200+ miles and when I put it back on I torqued it to the 50ft pounds that are spec. Was maybe the clutch locking up part of the bolt also comming out or what's going on? Anything helps I don't know what to do or where to go but I'm also kinda on a budget so cheeper better but all options help.?
