do the clutch/ springs need work at 3,000 miles or should they last longer then that. i was having some top end issues on my 05 600. just wondering the life of the clutch as ive never had problem with them in the past.

I have over 4,000 on my clutch with nothing more than just cleaning it... But I doubt it's the same clutch you have.

EDIT: made that sound like I put that many miles on it.. I didn't, but I know the previous owner didn't do anything to the clutch.

If you keep up on the maintenance with at least an annual cleaning, the clutches will go a lot of miles before needing rebuilding. It would depend on what kind of riding, hill climbing/drag racing will wear out a clutch much faster than trail riding at a constant speed. Polaris clutches seem to hold up pretty well with good maintenance.
