Have a 98 venture 480vt. Blown clutch. Is there any other model that I can use? It's a 121" two up sled. Thanks.
Edit: should read vt480.

any yamaha clutch, 95-present(including the 4 strokes) will interchange. the differnce will be the weights, rollers and spring.

how much of yours is salvagable? you will need your weights, spring and possibly rollers.

Actually the problem with the clutch is the main shaft appears to be worn. When you let go of the accelerator, the clutch doesn't always release. Thanks for the info on what I can use.

if you cant find another clutch, yours can probably be repaired. more than likely the bushing on the movable sheave is bad. if it did damage the "shaft" as you called it, the "spider" is replaceable as well.

might be worth the money vs buying a used clutch in unknown condition. by rebuilding yours at least you know what you have.
