working on a p85, i assume there is loctite used on the spider and lock nut.
my manual does not state which loctite and where to put it. anyone help with this? thanks
There are two green loctites, it is the permanent stuff. (ranks above red as far as removal) The other green loctite is a fairly low strength and very thin formula, used for wicking into existing bolts.
The Clymer manual states to use Blue on the spider and spider nut for Polaris clutches from 1990-1998. The Edge service manual (Deep Snow) doesn't mention any Loctite at all, just a torque of 200 ft.lbs for the spider and 235 ft. lbs for the spider jamb nut.
i am working with the edge manual, far as i can tell they want you to glue the garmax bushing in with loctite 680 and don't mention the spider and lock nut. thanks for help
