2008 Polaris RMK 600

Pulled the sled out of the barn for the season and the check engine light is on and flickering a bit. It is not flashing. How can I determine why the check engine light is on?

How fresh is the gas? I know if the DET sensor activates, it will flash a light. Does the flickering have a rhythm? If there is an issue, the computer will send a message to the MultiFunctional Display to flash a certain amount of times. The number of flashes is a diagnostic code and can guide you to a resolution.

When in doubt, a dealer with the "Digital Wrench" software can plug into the computer and read any codes, much like OBDII in a car (except proprietary.)

The light is definitely not flashing a code. It is essentially on the entire time but does flicker a little bit. That’s what confuses me because from what I can find when the light comes on it always flashes a code.

It is last season fuel so I will try some fresh fuel and see if it gets better. Thanks!
