Hello everyone!

I am soon going to buy a new sled. I`m not sure wich model im going to buy. Here is a list over things im going to use it for:

- Jumping on ramps
- Have fun in the snow (deep snow also?)
- Aggresive driving
- And more things..

Have anyone here a tip for what snowmobile i might buy?.. As i wrote im not sure what model or manufactor. And i don`t want it to break apart!

Please help :)

Well if you are going to be jumping on ramps and you are not brand loyal you should look at the Polaris Pro-X 440, Skidoo MXZX 440, or the Arctic Cat Sno-Pro 440. You will have to buy these sleds used because they are sno-x sleds and i believe that dealers dont sell them to non-racers. But look around you cant get a good deal on them and i hear they are super fast!

Dealers have no control over who gets a race sled, to even get one you have to send in an aplication in like june and get accpted by the race deparment to even put down money for one. bottom line a race sled is not a wise investmet for the trail. 5 gallon gas tank, reprogramed cdi, and coolers if you buy a cat. If you can jet a sled spot on and have the money though they are the most comfortalbe sled on the trail.

MXZX type also will let you ride trails agressively. Meaning that it wont be too cushy of a ride but you can jump like crazy. Wnat one for some powder? most come with the option of a deaper lug track, if not, buy one and put it on. You will grab better on trails and in powder.

my 2 cents

You can buy a race sled that is trail ready if you buy it used and if you are patient, you can find one in great condition!

there is still other stuff such as matence and this is his first sled, I would advise you not to buy a race sled. How much of a race sled market is there in oslo?

my friend has an '02 skidoo mxz 440 X and its awesome. good suspension and power, he doesn't have to do that much maintenance on it. i can see where your coming from though if its his first sled. if u have a good mechanical background, u should be alright.

yeah the skidoo 440 is light and very quick. however, not what you want if you're looking for top speed.

if you want some more power, the rev 600 h.o. is an excellent sled.

yea thats wat i'm going to be riding this year. an 03 skidoo rev 600. the only down side is it has the beaver tail. and its not my sled, so i'm not gonna put on a different one. i agree tho, i like the revs a lil bit better than the regular mxz 440X. but hey, i'll ride the 03 rev for free, i don't have a problem with that:D

yes, the beaver tail is not desired and i recommend trimming the mudflap along the dotted line. this way, when you back up, the snow wont bunch up behind you. it doesnt throw more snow when you trim it there either.

i think the 600 is better than the 440. its still light and quick, but has a little more top speed.
