Hi i have a 97 indy 500 and if im idling andi put it to the bar it bogs for about 3 seconds and doesnt even spin the track, but if im going about 30 and punch it takes off Great and flies has an brand new belt on it. help would be greatly appreaceated.

its probably the carbs. go get them synched. the same thing happend to my 86 formula mx, i got my carbs synchedand now it works awesome
Try cleaing them, i mean really cleaning them, take em off, take em appart and soak em in carb cleaner over night, if anything it is good to do, then adjust them right, then make sure your belt is good, maybe thats the first step is change your belt, i do that 1 a year with my RMK. Let me knwo what happens and we will go from there.
