Hi i have a 97 indy 500 and if im idling andi put it to the bar it bogs for about 3 seconds and doesnt even spin the track, but if im going about 30 and punch it takes off Great and flies has an brand new belt on it. help would be greatly appreaceated.
while the sled is running try taking off one spark plug wire at a time and see if there is any differencein the running of the engine, it might have a dead cylinder. my xlt does the same thing and i found out my middle had no effect in the running and was a dead cylinder.
It's probably a little lean, when you hit the throttle at low revs the incoming air doesn't maintain enough velocity to pick up the gas from the bowl and it falls on it's face. These don't have accelerator pumps or cv slides like motorcycle carbs do. let us know if that helps
