I recently purchased my first sled a 99 Arctic Cat Z 370. I paid $1500 and really like it so far. Black Magic makes a kit for this sled it includes- 34mm twin carb, throttle cable, choke cable, airbox, intake flanges and instructions. I have read also that this will add about 10-15mph to it's overall speed. Is this kit worth it? Or should I stick to what I have? I really don't know it's top speed, we haven't had enough snow! Thanks

Depends on your mechanical and tuning ability. Putting dual carbs on would change the powerband thus affecting clutching and exhaust to an extent. Does it come with a fuel pump? Seems the stock one would have to be replaced. Make sure the intructions provide proper carb. settings. The stock cylinders may not like the increased air and fuel flow since they are ported for the one carb.

Dual carbs would give it quite a boost of power but you might end up spending your weekends wrenching on it instead of riding.

I would say that before you go and upgrade the carbs you should consider riding the sled first. ;) If you take it to top speed (I am guessing 60 mph on hardpack) and find you are lacking in the amount of power you want... go for it and upgrade. A 10 - 15 mph difference is very good for a new carb kit.
