Hi All,

The local dealer only had 2 of the gaskets in stock. I need 4. Anything special about them? Can I use regular washers?

I just parted out the same sled- green hood. The washers need to be aluminum or copper to assure a good seal. In a pinch you could use steel washers as long as they don't leak. The softer washer will conform to the pump surface and bolt head with low bolting torque, if you use steel do not over tighten the bolts. At least they are easy to get at and change on that sled.

Thanks, I'll look in my box of washers..

for copper or aluminum.

Yes, its the same sled, green hood. I bought it with the engine in pieces as the crank looked just like the one in your picture.

You wouldn't know what order the wires on the black plug coming out of the stator should be, would you? I had to remove them from the connector to fit them through the hole in the case.

Thanks again for your help on this.

Got it running!

Thanks for the quick tips. Found one plastic washer and one steel one. Didn't tighten very much. No leaks so far, but I'll test drive it tomorrow night and see what happens.

I must have had the wiring right. ;-)

Ryan.
