what are the +'s and -'s of removing the stock airbox and using two seperate air filters on the carbs for a 98 600sx? I will be installing a can as well and am wondering if any changes to the jets need to be made or any other mods need to be done to run as well as it does stock. power 1st... gas mileage 2nd.

ABSOLUTELY changes will be required if you don't plan on burning the sled down. It will take quite a bit of fine tuning and numerous jet changes to get it right with two big changes at once.
heres what i have learned over the years so take it for what its worth.
if you going to run that sled in a straight line for 500, 660 or 1000' runs, you can gain a bit by running a uni or k&n type filters. jetting changes will be necessary.
if your going to ride your sled for fun and recreation, stick with the stock airbox.
what you will gain from the aftermarket filters will be a finicky, unreliable sled that you will constantly be adjusting the carbs on and sacrificing performance with ever changing weather and snow conditions.
