I have a 1980 Yamaha Exciter 440, I have looked everywhere for the rubber joint from the airbox to carb. No one seems to have this, thought maybe someone might have one they want to sell, or maybe someone knows what will work. The sled is in very good shape, it had a k&n on it, I was returning it to stock. The Yamaha part number is: Yamaha JOINT,AIR CLNR 1 Part # 8G6-14453-00-00. Thanks in advance!

You might be forced to go to a dealership and ask kindly to look at their air boots and get one close enough and actually "make it work" on your sled. Old parts like rubber boots in good condition or LKQ are hard to come by. My 80' Blizzard has that problem with the airbox boot. I have one good one and one busted off. I've found the fan cooled boots but no 340 boots. PIA for sure. (using chrome air horns right now on it with "screens")

My SRV has a 2" no hub band (Im a Plumber) from carb to air box!

Remember the carb to engine is critical but the carb to air box is NOT!

After a long search for boot, I had one made. Looks like it will work perfectly. Cost $60 to have it made.

Wow, Seal Jet. Never heard of them. I may get them to make me some for my 80' Blizzard 340 airbox to carb.

I get that, I am trying to put this sled back to as close to original as i can. I had a K&N on it before.
