Hi guys brand new here I bought an old sled I have rode it a couple times ran well. My last trip out however after going a few miles I killled the sled with the kill switch. I pulled and it fired and die instantly. I pulled a few more times and nothing I waited a few and it fired up one pull. This happened three times the third it did not start again. I have good spark and if I pour a little in the heads it fires instantly but dies as soon as it is gone. I pulled the pump checked the lines I think it’s a fuel pump but want some verification. Thanks in advance.

My 99 zl500 starts hard too. If you can pour a little mix in the cylinder and have it pop off, I would suspect the pump or the stator that runs it. Testing the stator is around here somewhere.

My stator tested good. Just too lazy to do the pump in the cold.

Could be water/junk fuel too. Try a burn test on it....
