Hi all,

First sled, Polaris 98' 700xc kind of lost on this one. Went to check over a few things before winter and noticed this (image below).

Appears the throttle cable end broke off and is no longer attached to this lever [1] that connects up in front of the starter.
After reading around, my best guess is this lever drives the oil pump but I'm not sure.
If it is as I suspect, and the previous owner rode with this broken- how screwed is the sled? Does that mean it has been run with almost no oil being mixed, or too much?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the quick reply! Will definitely check that belt, and regarding the throttle cable- if it was detached like it is and was rode that way for an unknown amount of time, what else would you recommend checking?

Going to re-attach and check alignment- found this in service manual. Sound right?
