I'm going to look at a 97 xlt.

Supposed to be in excellent shape, but buddy doesn't know how many miles are on it


Never owned a Polaris


The price seems excellent.

I'd like to hear what people think of this sled.

Good, bad?

Power? Economy? Reliability?

anyone know h.p and approx top speed??

I have a buddy that is wanting to sell his 97 or 98 I am not sure what year but is a 600 polaris. Ultra I think maybe... he wants 2900 (canadian) for it. only has 2600 miles on it. Just to give you an idea of a price around here

What model XLT is it?I had a 97 XLT LTD and i loved it.It had decent power,around 96 hp,had excellent fuel economy.I got 20 miles/gallon all the time.Top speed on mine was about 90 mph.I'm told other models were getting over 100 mph.I had 8600 miles on mine when i traded it last season and it was flawless.I never had to put a wrench on it the whole time i had it.When i traded it it still had the original belt on and the original spare was still in the holder.I hope my new sled is as good as my XLT was.
I think you'd be happy with this one.

Wow, that sounds awesome, 8600 miles without major work is excellent........

97 xlt

I have a 1997 xlt with 7700 miles on it. It has been flawless except for a coolant hose rupture last year. Can't complain about that!
