I am thinking about studding my vmax 500 1995. My Daughter mainly is the one that is driving it at 14 years old. She has had problems on icy hills. The heat exchanger seams a little large to actually work with studs. If there is anyone to offer anything i would apreciate it.

I once raced a ZR 580 that had studs. My V MAX 500 had none. I blew him away. I have never put any on since.

I have a 94 VMAX 600 and i used to have .75" studs on a .5" tracks but now I got a .875" track and that leaves no room for studs. You might be able to squeeze .875" studs in but .75" would be a safer fit.

hey chanks, did you have to put tunnel protectors on with the .75" studs? i have a .5" track and was thinking of putting studs in it. did the .75" studs make it hook up alot better? mine doesnt hook up good at all. let me know how it worked.
