i believe i have a choke sticking in my carb . carbs have been cleaned throughout. the plunger seems to stick when putting it back in . it will rev high at 1st then seems to take longer to idle down. thinking it may have gunk or possibly a burr in the chamber .i have used a gun cleaning wire brush to clean it. was that the prob ? any suggestions ?

carbs have been cleaned . on occasion it will still rev high at 4 grand then trickle down to 2 grand. also it's pretty touchy to get the idle set

The high idle is probably because of a lean condition. Check your carb boots and the crank seal near the clutch. You can spray the seal and the boots with carb cleaner, wd40, or similar product when the engine is idling, if you get any change in idle, you have a leak. If you have no leaks, turn the air screws on the carb IN a bit to richen up the air/fuel at idle.
