Hi i have a 92 exciter 570 and i was reading i post about modding the stock exhaust by editing one of the baffels i think i understand most of it but could some kinda explain the process a little better. iv been try in find an aftermarket exhaust for this thing but it is near impossiable. pictures of how to edit the exhaust would be good if possiable. thanks for any help.
You can buy an aftermarket exhaust for your sled from DG PERFORMANCE.COM. They get $299.00 for their pipe versus Aean Performance at over $700. Hope this helps because I'm buying one for my 87' Exciter restoration with 91' carbs, Comet clutch and other improvements.

I have over the years Modified the stock Yamaha pipes with the can attached.
It is really a very simple procedure, just cut a flap from the side and then reweld it.
It provides a much better air flow and a bit deeper tone.
