Hey guys, I applied some threebond to my crankcase halves tonight, put them together, but when i went to tighten the bolts down my manual only had torque specs for 8 and 10 mm bolts, but mine seem to be 12mm.

Does anyone know the torque specs for a 1991 indy classic with 12mm bolts?
crankcase, cylinder base, and cylinder head specs would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

thanx for the speedy response Ken, appreciated!

Anyone know if it would be ok if i just torqued my 12mm bolts to the specs for 10mm for the crankcase?

seth, the general torque for a 12mm is 40. you sure those are 12s. 40 seems like an awful lot. I think I would go with the 23-25 or maybe even bump it to 28

Hey ken, If the mm size they are referring to is the size of the head on the bolt then they are 12mm. I use a 12mm wrench to tighten them. OR are they referring to something else? i am new at this..........

thanks,

Seth
