I recently purchased a 89 Yamaha exciter 570. Sled only has like 4400 miles on it for the price I paid It was a pretty good deal. The problem I’m having is that the sled will start up and idle good, however when I give it some gas it bogs down. I figured first thing to do is clean the carbs. Would dirty carbs be causing this problem? Or should I be looking into something else? -thanks WR26

Had a 91 just like it!
Yes start with cleaning the carbs and replace all the fuel lines (Do away with sight gauge hose)
Clean the clutches too
