Heyas all, new here. I just bought an 87 Indy 400 today for 300.:) It has 5k miles on it and runs pretty decent. The only issues I have with it, are the fact that the suspensions is not right.

I have it in the garage right now thawing out. But, when you stand on it the suspension goes down, but doesn't come back up for AGES. Also after a bump you can hear the track hitting the tunnel it sounds like. Any clues?

Been out of sledding for a few years now. But getting back in!

Also, this thing really really smeels like gas in the garage badly. And I don't see any leaks anywhere. But it's almost seeping into the house now, and the wife is getting mad. Any ideas on that also?

Thanks guys for the help.

indy 400

sounds like the shock in the suspention is shot or maybe rusted. probably have to pull the suspension to check it out. as far as the gas smell, those fuel line are probably the ones that were on the sled when it was new. i would repace all them. i take a small plastic tie strap and put them on all the conections. good luck
