My son and I just restored a 78 Enticer. Had it out running a bunch on the lake this weekend, about halfway through, the belt started jumping and it appears like there is a bunch of rubber dust under the hood. It is the belt that was on it and the sled sat for 15 years. Are there clutch adjustments to be made? It takes off fine but when you go above 50% throttle, The belt jumps. I am new to sleds, any pointers would be welcome. Thanks!

Replace the belt. Rubber breaks down just like anything else over time. With it sitting for years it could have weaken. Not too mention hopefully you cleaned the clutches as well. But start with cleaning the clutches along with replacing the belt. f

Welcome
Clean the clutches with a Scotch bright pad or 120gr sand cloth then blow them off real good

typical rotten belt symptoms. Our 340 Enticer used to spin up on the belt every couple of years. Be sure to clean the clutches, too....I like to use brake cleaner for ours.
