My 77 polaris 340 colt ss has good spark on both cylinders but only runs on one cylinder.
Could it be a blown head gasket?
I never did a compression test but what else may it be?

It has 2 carbs and I just took them apart and cleaned them.
I let the motor cool down and sprayed carb cleaner in the bad cylinder and unplugged the good spark plug wire. It fired up on the bad cylinder so it maybe a fuel issue.
I checked for fuel in the carb bowl and it's full. Not sure why it's not getting into the cylinder.
I'm wondering if it maybe a bad head gasket and it runs fine cold but then looses compression when it gets hot.

Well I noticed that my son had put the wrong plugs in.
He had the BR9ES instead of the BR8ES.
We put the correct ones in and it started right up. I'm not sure if that was the problem but it seems ok for now.
I will do some more testing and see what else I can find.
