I'm new to the world of selds, I have a question about a couple of carbs that need to be rebuilt off of a 79 Bizzard 5500 (503 Rotax F/C). These measure to 36mm each, when I got the sled one was apart, I know nothing about carbs, Where can I get a new one or have someone rebuild them & clean them? I found a pair of 38's for a good deal- will they work?

EDIT: I just looked them up they say that they are VM34-103 does this mean that they are 34mm?

i would think the 38's would be great, should give youa bit more power, but you may need to rejet them

they are very easy to rebuild yourself. you should be able to get a parts breakdown from a local dealer. you wont want to price a new one .

You may want to stick with the stock carbs unless you do something about exhaust. If you go to 38's, the velocity of the air going through the carbs will be a lot less and you may actually decrease your performance. To get max power you have to work with both carbs and exhaust, can't do one without the other.
