My cousin just purchased a Venture GT. He says it seems hard to steer. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

you need to play with the suspension settings after you confirm the wear bars are not bent or have too much carbide. hard steering is usually attributed to too much ski shock preload, not enough center shock preload, the limiter straps adjusted too short, or the torsion spring setting is too stiff. this all is based on the assumption that the front end has been raised in the air and there is no obvious binding in the steering components and all has been lubed properly.

Thanks for the help! The sled is brand new with only a few miles on it. I will take it back to the dealer and ask them to make the adjustments.

if your dealer is cooperative that would be ideal. info should be in your owners manual. give it a read and learn about it. what works on hard pack can be totally different in loose snow so knowing the adjustments will greatly increase riding enjoyment. yamaha sets there sleds for the masses based on whatever their concept of average is, but they are easily tuned to the individual.
