So, on the last ride, the speedometer stopped working on one of our Edge sleds
I pulled the secondary, and the speedo drive, thinking the cable broke.
The bearing inside the cap was a mess, and ball bearings missing..... tons of grease on the speedo drive.....

So, I took tension off the track, and removed what I could of the old bearing. The inner race is not wanting to come off the driveshaft. I sprayed it with penetrating oil, and letting it soak.

Any other suggestions? I have a feeling I will need to take the chain case apart to get the drive shaft off.
Or is there another way? Any suggestions is appreciated.

Should I replace the bearings on the chain case side too? What about the jack shaft bearings?

Thanks

If I recall, the bearings are pressed on. You will have to remove the driveline to get it off. If the bearing does not have set screws or an adjuster ring, it's pressed on.

While it's out, I would replace replace both sides, and both jackshaft bearings as well. They are a pain to get to, may as well get them replaced while it's apart.

I would (and did) drop the rear suspension get it out of the way!
Then look into different bearings!
So far the only Non China bearings I have found are the ProX?
They are from Japan!

Sounds good. I did order some "bearing kits" for All Balls, but I bet based on price, the bearings are made in China.
