first thing you should do if havent done already is change cdi box and jetting because it was all wrong from factory, should be under warranty and hotseat makes good clutch kits

What about the cdi on the 600? If mines wrong or bad, it runs pretty damn good.

cdi box

I just took my 800 edge x to the dealer and when he put in my model number it came up with the problem with the cdi box and jetting. They have ordered the new cdi and I will be taking it to Tug Hill, NY next week I will let you know how it goes.

Polaris says that not all CDI needed replacing on the 2002 800's. If your's is running ( 90-100 mph top end ) strong you don't need to get it changed. I ride with a group of about 18 and only 1 out of 3 800's needed the new CDI. Jetting can always be better on any sled. shane

Shane, My 800 seems to run pretty strong but i'm running against bone stock 600s and they are staying with and sometimes beating me. It seems like a 800 should beat a 600. Like I say I'm leaving for Tug Hill tommorrow (sunday) for the week and will post the outcome when I get back
