hey all. was on a ride with my xcr, coming to a stop ,idol was at 5 gs, home was right around the corner, what I have checked , center and mag cyl have cold pipes,, spark is good tried new plugs ,, inspection of domes shows no damage I don't have a accurate gauge , but comp is same on all 3 appears to be running on pto cyl only, inspecting plugs , no metal or discolor, center and mag cyl also old and new plugs appear wet , i am sure its only oil , it appears im not getting fuel in both cyl , any ideas thanks

Always start with cleaning carbs and making sure they are in synch. I'd pay attention to the inlet needle/seat and the float height. Make sure your fuel pump is delivering fuel to the carbs, as well.

do you think it could be the reeds , having a hard time both carbs at the same time just checked compression again 140 across

motor had a crank up build at about 2000 miles ago

I have oil for sure in cyl no fuel, did check phase against my other xcr its the same dont think its a crank issue

Clean the carbs
Try swapping from other cylinder

carbs are rack style not to easy to swap out

Do all three slides move up with the throttle? Are the needles still attached to the bottom of the slide?

Are you getting fuel to all three carbs?

Did you pull and clean the carbs?

just went out all three slides go up ,, neglected to see if needles moved but issue has to be more involved 2 cyl at one time is baffling,,

gonna pull the sediment drains off to see if there's fuel

my guess is that the inlet needles are stuck to the seat and not allowing any fuel in...

ok up date , pulled the sediment drains , pto had the most fuel drain out , pulled the plugs , with the drains still off pulled the cord , I m just getting dribbles of fuel out , would think with this 1/2 in fuel line I would be getting a lot more , I did pull the in tank line seems ok , if the needles were stuck closed I would not get any fuel out of them at all , I have never seen what normal fuel flow should look like off of one of these pumps , my guess its set up for high volume ,and its a dual feed,, should have some pretty good blast out of the drains , opinions please

so you don't think I have a fuel pump issue then

Still possible you also have a fuel pump issue. Problem is those pumps are expensive and rebuild kits can be hard to find.

With fuel line off carbs
find the fuel tank vent line
Blow into it, fuel should come out!
Pull the rope and see if fuel comes out
If not then your pick up is gone
If you do get fuel, then it's your float
