I purchased a used xc700 and need some advice on what works best. I'm at 1000' elevation and am too much of a wimp to ride when it gets much below 0. The only modifications to the sled are Delta reeds. It had some kind of a clutch kit on it but I have no idea what. The sled seems slow off the line. Sunday I was pulling 8000 rpm running it down the field. It feels like it needs leaned out a little as it loads up after it idles a few minutes. My last sled was a 1997 Storm RMK and this sled seems to compare in the 30 to 70 mph range but is weaker than I expected out of the hole. Any advice would be appreciated.

My '01 500 XC SP was the same way when I first got it. I asked around and some people I trust said that the '99-'02 Pols benefit greatly from installing a boost bottle. I installed one over the summer and it seems to really smooth out the low end. Haven't been able to try it out on a long trail ride but so far so good.
