i should be getting an AC zr 500 soon and i was wondering if a 600,700,800 or 900cc engine could be swapped into it? if it could how much work would it take to put each one in?

im somewhat a newb when it comes to snowmobiles compared to what i know about cars but i do know a bit about them so im not a total idiot :laugh:

AND...just thinking out loud here, how hard would it be to put a turbo on it?

It is very simple to increase it to a 600, just buy 600 pistons and send it in to be replated. You can even go to 680 that way. I have a race set of 680 jugs, pistons and mono head with race inserts. It also comes with hand built race pipes.
I had bought a 02 ZR800 motor to drop into my ZR600, but it was too much work for me even! My ZR has been up to 760 but is currently at 711 @155 hp!

are you selling the 680 parts? how much do you want for them?

and how do you go from 600 to 680? do you stroke it or can it be bored to a 680?

and how do you get a 711? is that a bored 700? or bored 600?

i own a 1998 zr500 and was looking to put a bigger motor in, whats different about 7,8, or 900 motors versus the 5 and 600s as bolting in?
what needs to be done that causes it to be so much work?

The 711 is a Black Magic motor (cast jugs with a 85mm bore) The 760 is a stroker with that set up! The 680 is just a big bore 600! The 680 will work on the 500 and even most 440's!
