I have a 1998 Formula Z 670 that I just replaced all of the boogie wheel bearings as well as the slides and the top three wheels. The three upper wheels were broken and the sled had been making a clunking sound from the track. I assumed the clunking was from the bad wheels but i still have the clunking sound. I checked the chain tension and replaced the fluid and everything appears fine. Any ideas what it might be?

I'll check the tension in the am. Any good tips on how to determine the proper tension without any special tools. I'll also check the tunnel protectors. Will keep ya posted and thank you for the quick responses.

From what I've read, basis rule of thumb is 1"-1.5" of gap between the hyfax and the track with 10lbs of wight hanging off the bottom of the track.

Some use 2 1-gallon milk jugs for weight. Then basic wrenches.

One milk jug is enough, water weighs 8#/gal, make the measurement 1.75" with that weight.

After running the sled for 20 min the sound seemed to go away. I'm thinking there may have been a square edge up front on the new slides that needed to be worn away? Anyway adjusting the track today just to be sure. Thanks for the help!!
