Hello, I have a 1998 jag 440 will not start.

2 new spark plugs, good spark. Good gas, Gas is getting to the carbs. I had it running 2 days ago, I took it for a ride and it was vary slow and as I got closer bad home it started to really lose power to the point where I had to walk it along. I have not been able to start it sense then and If I let it sit for an hour or so the vary first pull it sometimes will sort of start a little for a second or two, then nothing.

Any input will be much appreciated,
Brendan

I bypassed the throttle safety switch, My spark seams stronger but the 440 still will not start or even sound like it wants to start.

Do a compression check on each cylinder. Be sure you do it at WOT. Betting you took out a piston. Compression should be 120 anything under 95 is not good.
