I have a 1997 MXZ440x. I am installing a ripsaw track with 1.25 lugs and am planning on using 1.325 stud for vintage cross country races. With a ripsaw lug pattern the lugs just clear the tunnel protectors. When the lugs start to roll over from hitting the protectors I am concerned that the studs my hit the heat exchangers or tear up the tunnel under the fuel tank. The MXZ440x does have a different heat exchanger setup than the MXZ440. The exchangers are just up in the front of the bulkhead and at the rear of the tunnel. They do not run the length of the tunnel like the other MXZs. Any ideas from someone running a similar track lug and or stud would be appreciated.
