Just picked up this sled a few weeks back and getting it ready for this season. Starts and runs fine, but has no lights and the tach isn't working. Dash, headlights, taillights etc. It has electric start but currently no battery in it. But the lights should still be on even if you pull start right? Could this be the voltage regulator? Not having a battery?

I'm very new to snowmobiling. This is the first sled I've owned. Thanks!

It's possible that the lighting coil on your stator has failed. The engine runs on a different part of the stator, so it will still work.
okay thanks I appreciate the tip. I’ll look into a new stator for it.

u do have the ign key don't u , would try a battery also could be a series circuit, and what bc said also
I do have the key for it yes. Just didn’t come with a battery so went out and bought one. And the starter was pulled out as well. Haven’t installed either yet
