My uncle got a 1995 ZR 580 on Sunday night and it didn't run. We have it running, but the headlight is just laying in the bellypan. After we got it running, my uncle grabbed the light and as soon as he tried to move it, it lost all spark/electrical and died. I'm thinking there's a loose wire that connects when the light is in one spot and then loses the connection if you move the light. Any ideas which wire it could be?

You sure you didn't pull a few wires out of the junction box on the engine?

I'm sure WE didn't, but the previous owner might have. We haven't looked at the wiring yet but we will when we work on it some more. Once you get that light in the right spot it starts up pretty well and runs great until you move the light, then it just dies.

My uncle found a video on youtube on how to jump the stator to over-ride the ignition and he said he's going to try that tomorrow.
