Thank you, the stator has been failing, when it heats up it won’t stay on. So I’ve been trying to change it, but couldn’t get to it.

Polaris flywheels have been known to be a royal pain to get off. Starting Line Products sells a pretty robust puller, it may be worth the investment. I had a less expensive one and it bent trying to remove a flywheel off of a Polaris engine.

It has yet to see a flywheel it could not get off ;)


An inexpensive Harbor Freight harmonic balancer puller may work, but you are likely to bend it. If you try a harmonic balancer puller, make sure it's a quality one. JMHO, mind you
