We just replaced the main shock and springs in the suspension about a month ago. My neighbor that claims to know about snowmobiles helped (nice to have an extra pair of hands) After finally getting it back in he tentioned the track while I was cleaning up. It all looked good. Now, there is a big groove in the aluminum where the back boogey wheels meet the tentioner. I checked and sure enough, one tention bolt is 2 1/8" while the other is 2 1/2". Is the groove repairable somehow? Any input is greatly appretiated.

Thanks,
Andy

your rails are warped. if you run it how it is, the rods where the boggies go threw will roll and break the tensioner bolts. To get it repaired you could use some JB weld. then file it down..that is if you don't plan on riding it too hard. Or take it to a shop that can weld aluminum and have them fill in the gaps.
