I just got an Exciter 440 fan and I did a compression test... what I found really shocked me. The story was that it locked up when the previous owner was riding it. However before I got it, that day he got it un-seized. The PTO cylinder is at just a hair over 30psi which doesn't surprise me. The real thing that surprises me is what the MAG cylinder PSI is. The MAG cylinder is at 160-165psi. This is a little high I would say ha ha. So my question is, does anyone know why it is at such high compression on the MAG cylinder? Thank You!

abnormally high compression could be caused by carbon build-up on the head or on the piston crown. The carbon (or other debris) takes up volume and raises the compression number. Just a guess, mind you. Take out the plug and get a small light and look on the piston crown.
